Butch is survived his wife; a son, Alan Sykora of Mansfield; two daughters, Faye Packard of Tioga and Pam (Chris) Cummings of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Jarret Packard, Caitlin Packard, Connor Sykora, Carley (Brandon) Drake, Alexus Cummings, and Collin Cummings; a great-granddaughter, Elnora Drake; nieces and nephews, Penny (Randy) Heffner of Tioga, Bobby (Joan) Stone of Tioga; great-nieces and nephews; R.J. (Nicole) Heffner, Mark (Cynthia) Gee, Ashley Moya, Danielle (Jason) Bovee, Kayla Hopper, Shelby and Macenzie Button; father-in-law,, Walter Sherman; brothers-in-law, Rodney (Pam) Sherman, Mark Sherman, Raymond (Tammy) Sherman, Pete (Tammy) Sherman, and Hank (Kelly) Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Betty Lou and Bob Stone; niece, Sherry Gee; aunt, Evalina Tongue; cousin, Myron Tongue; and mothers-in-law, Priscilla Sherman and Mary Sherman.
Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, February 10, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Tioga. I´m truly sorry for your loss. I first met butch up at Seneca lake as one of his neighbors. He was always a joy to speak to about any interesting subjects and you could be greeted with a smile of a warm welcome and departure. He was just so laid back enjoying life. He was always willing to give you a helping hand no matter the task. We will truly miss you up at the lake , but will never forget what a great neighbor and a friend we had made. Rest in peace my friend.
