Mr. Arthur Smith, 90, of London, passed away Saturday morning, October 18, 2025 at the Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center. He was born June 2, 1935 at Red Bird, the son of the late Boyd Smith and Vergie Lawson Smith Hubbard.

Arthur was a former supervisor with O'Neal Glass in Fort Wayne, IN and believed in the Baptist faith. Arthur found great joy in simple pleasures of life such as fishing, hunting, playing cards and woodworking. He most enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ella Mae Smith Spanogle and Ethel Smith and brothers, Luther, J. B. and J. C. Smith.

Survivors include his loving children, Judy and Johnny Swafford of Barbourville, Pamela and Gordon Wright of Ohio and Harvey Smith of Barbourville; a brother, Luster Smith and wife, Kathleen, of Barbourville; a sister-in-law, Louise Smith of London; treasured grandchildren, Jessica and Travis Bruner, Andrew Hampton, Amber and Gabe Marciano, Brittany and Sean Griese, Joshua and Jayla Smith and Victoria and Joe Bruner; great grandchildren, Alexis, Zachary, Logan, Caelin, Aiden, Robin, Sam, Ravin, Zoe, Liliana, Taylor, Brooklyn, Carmen, Marissa, Bobbie Jo, ZayBriella and Zeelynn; a great-great grandchild; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, October 23 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Dennis Hammons officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Boyd Smith Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Kim Allen, Travis Bruner, Gordon Wright, Zachary Moore, Roger Proffitt, Jimmy Smith and James Proffitt.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
