A true giant in so many people's lives, Dr. Arthur B. Stone, 80 years young, with his beloved wife and children by his side, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, in Greenville, SC, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in 1944 and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Arthur had a 60-year marriage with his beloved wife, Linda (Miller) Stone. They were married in 1966, and raised three children, Ian (Jody) of Plano, TX, Rachel Monte (Christopher) of Greenville, SC, and Diana Courtney (Jeremy), also of Greenville, SC. Arthur was blessed to have nine grandchildren who were the sparkle and magic in his life.
Arthur was the beloved son of the late Max and Majorie (Berman) Stone, brother of the late Michael Stone, and sister of Shelia (Jeffrey) Korn, of San Diego, CA. He also had countless nieces, nephews and cousins that he adored.
Arthur was a Podiatrist, getting his degrees from Robert Morris College and Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, OH. Having a celebrated fifty plus year career caring for patients, Arthur spent time building relationships with each person that he touched with an unbelieve level of compassion, kindness, and consideration. In addition to Arthur's career in Podiatry, he was also active as a consultant, advisor, and researcher for Advances in Skin & Wound Care, The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, and President and CEO of MedNexus, where he worked in the medical industry connecting healthcare and business.
Arthur had many indelible qualities. First, he loved his wife, Linda. Their marriage was a true love story, one with deep and enduring commitment, respect, understanding, and support. It was truly one from the pages of the most beautiful book. He also was his children's biggest champion, always there for them through life's happy and challenging times, offering unwavering advice, guidance and love. Arthur was generous, giving his life to his family, faith, friends, career, and everyone he touched. Even as he battled cancer for many years, he participated in clinical trials, with a deep acceptance that if it did not work for him, it would help someone else in the future.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown, 639 N. Main St., Greenville. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Beth Israel Cemetery, 4814 White Horse Rd., Greenville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chabad Aleph House. 3515 E. North St., Greenville, SC 29615, Congregation Beth Israel, 425 Summit Dr, Greenville, SC 29609 or the American Cancer Society, 1010 E North St, Greenville, SC 29601.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Art. What a joyful person he was and how I loved our interactions. He was a kind and caring person. Our community is lessened by his passing.

I am so saddened to hear of the death of Art. We shared so many experiences during our shared professional time on the board of NPUAP (later NPIAP). We did presentations together and had such fun with them. He had a great deal of respect for health care and contributed much to it.
I offer condolences to his family who he cared for so much. And I wish them to know that his work was greatly appreciated.
