Artie Allen Slade, age 45, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, in West Branch, Michigan. He was born on July 16, 1980, in Midland, Michigan to Allen and Karen (McKee) Slade.

He was a dedicated cook and spent many years working in restaurants, sharing his passion for food with others. In high school, Artie was also a state wrestler, demonstrating his competitive spirit and determination.

Outside of his career, Artie enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He had a passion for construction, which allowed him to express his creativity. He loved watching movies, going camping, and cherishing moments spent with family.

He is survived by his son, Dylan Slade, and cherished grandson, Damien Slade. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters, Julie DeColumna, Amanda Slade, and Jennifer (Joe) Rough, along with his brother, Andy Slade. Artie is remembered fondly by his half-sister, Kasie Garside, and half-brothers, Jeff Laidlaw and Scott Laidlaw. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Artie was preceded in death by his parents.

His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
