ARTIS JAMES JACKSON

Artis James Jackson Jr., affectionately known as "Bill," was born on May 13, 1935, in Naples, Texas. He dedicated his life to serving others and making a positive impact on his community until his passing on May 27, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 90.

Bill was a loyal Service Technician at Safeway and a valued maintenance technician at JJ Pierce High School. His career reflected his commitment to support and improve the spaces he worked in, showcasing not only his technical skills but also his dedication to helping others. Bill's personality was characterized by his helpfulness and selflessness, always eager to give back to his community. His big heart and thoughtfulness made him a cherished figure among friends and family alike.

He received his education at Gethsemane High School in Naples, TX, where he laid the foundational values that would guide him throughout his life. As a team builder, he fostered relationships that extended far beyond mere acquaintance, creating a network of support and friendship that exemplified his spirit of camaraderie.

Bill is preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Helen Jackson. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will remember him for his unwavering kindness and the warmth he brought into their lives.

Funeral services to honor Artis James Jackson Jr. will be held beginning with a viewing on June 6, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service will follow on June 7, 2025, at Carver Heights Baptist Church, starting at 11:00 AM. Bill will be laid to rest on June 9, 2025, at Lincoln Memorial Park, with the burial service commencing at 10:00 AM.
