Ashby Fox Obituary
Born June 11, 1939 at Clayton he was a son of the late Manual R. and Laura Bell Atwell Fox.
Ashby was a member of Cool Ridge Baptist Church. He was a UMWA heavy equipment operator.
Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Harold, Joseph (Bob), Dave, Darrell (Doc), Roger, Donald and William and two sisters, Francis and Margaret.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Lou Fox, at home; seven children, Dottie Michael of Alderson, Daniel and wife Patricia Michael of Marie, Ashby Jr. and wife Tammy Fox of Wayside, Timmy and wife Brenda Fox of Ballengee, Kathy and husband Marvin Smith of Ballengee, Pamela and husband Steven Koontz of Greenville and Kevin Fox of Ballengee; nine grandchildren, Anthony (Tony) and wife Danielle Michael of Reedsville, Tonya and husband Matthew Schmuch of Kill Hills, NC, Marvin Jr. and wife Tonya Smith of Wayside, Melissa Fox of Ballengee, Ashley and husband Chad Boggs of Union, Vanessa and husband Kalab Morgan of Wayside, Timothy Fox of Ballengee and Daniel and Hunter Fox of Wayside; six great grandchildren, Blake, Noah and Gracelyn Smith, Kaylee Ellis, Mason Morgan and Julianna Walker; four brothers, Gerald and wife Linda Fox of Ballard, Cecil and wife Joyce Fox of Hilldale, Danny Fox of Barger Springs and Steve Fox of Princeton; one sister, Louise Boggs of Lewisburg and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Jim Jewell and Tony Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral parlors.
Pallbearers will be: Ashby Fox Jr., Timmy Fox, Kevin Fox, Marvin Smith, Steven Koontz, Marvin Smith Jr., Timothy Fox and Tony Michael.
