Daniel E. “Danny” Frazier, 88, of Hinton was granted what he had desired for so long when his Savior called him home Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at CAMC General Hospital following a short illness.
Born October 13, 1937 at Talcott he was the son of the late Ernest R. and Virginia Mary Mann Frazier. Danny was a graduate of Talcott High School where he played basketball and baseball. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, once he was discharged, he worked at Hercules until his retirement. Danny attended First Baptist Church and Upland Baptist Church faithfully. He was an expert fisherman who provided many a mess of catfish to his friends but most of all he was a born-again Christian who was not ashamed to share his faith with everyone he could. Danny enjoyed all types of Summers County Athletics. He was instrumental in the formation of Little League baseball. Danny served as a coach, a mentor and finally showed his support as a spectator. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Frazier; one son, Bobby Pitzer; one daughter, Linda Caudle; and two brothers, David and Melvin Frazier.
Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Peggy Cales and husband Roger of Waynesboro, PA; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Janice Blankenship and husband Woody of Rainelle and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Jon Elardo, Mike Brandon and Tony Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery on Chestnut Mtn. near Hinton. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral parlors.
Pallbearers will be Tony Williams, Eric Frazier, Mike Brandon, Wayne Ellison, Joe Blanenship, Rick Isaac and Richard Crisp.
