Ashley Nicole Abbott was born on May 11, 1990, in Omaha, Nebraska to Cory Abbott and Crystal Bloom. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Soldier Township, Charter Oak, instilling a strong foundation of faith that she carried with her throughout her life.
She graduated from Central Academy High School in Spencer as part of the Class of 2008. She attended La'James College in Mason City where she pursued her passion for cosmetology and received a certificate that showcased her talent and dedication to her craft.
For four years, Ashley was employed with Mercer Insurance in Des Moines. She used her knowledge and expertise to assist customers with their inquiries, always going above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction.
One of Ashley's favorite pastimes was playing volleyball. She was known for being a good friend who would lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Her selflessness and compassion touched the lives of many. Ashely was a loving and devoted mother and her love for her children knew no bounds.
Ashley passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in Denison, attaining the age of 33 years, 4 months, and 9 days. She leaves behind cherished memories that will forever remain etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared moments with her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Georgia Meseck and maternal grandmother, Dorita O'Brien. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters: Brooklynn and Kenli Clinkenbeard of Denison; son, Braedan Abbott of Des Moines; father, Cory Abbott of Denison; mother, Crystal Bloom of Spencer; two sisters: Makayla Briggs of Norwalk; and Miranda (Austin) Speight of Royal; paternal grandfather, Dennis Meseck of Charter Oak; eight nephews: Declan, Kale, Jonah, Ramsey, Sutton, Brock, Kane and Christian; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Visitation with Family Greeting Friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service starting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Charter Oak. Memorials may be directed to the family.
