Ashley Miller-Head

Ashley Miller-Head, 37, of Charles City, passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus in Rochester, MN. A public visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Greene. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday July 29, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church in Greene. Burial will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Greene is caring for Ashley and her family.
Ashley Ann Miller was born May 13, 1985, in Waverly, Iowa to parents Jeff and Denise (Rust) Miller. She attended school in Greene, later completing her GED. Ashley married Scott Head on April 9, 2004, and together they had two sons, Eastan and Haven. The couple later divorced.
Her children were her life, and being a mother was the most important thing to her. She enjoyed drawing and crafting, and even made houses for her son's lizard. Ashley was very handy around the house. She loved to cook, especially with her kids. Ashley also liked to watch cooking shows and reality TV.
Ashley loved her family, and she loved being an aunt. Her entire family will miss her dearly.
Left to cherish her memory include her sons Eastan and Haven Head; father Jeff Miller; mother Denise Miller; siblings Jeff (Kim Martin) Miller, Jr., Shane (Samantha Jones) Miller, Brandi (Daniel) Derifield, Melissa (Caylor Teepe) Miller, Jesse (Gena) Miller, Kane (Tiffany Deetz) Miller, Travis (Abby Dreesman) Miller, and Kory (Mariah Garnas) Miller; step sister Megan (Rory) Doty; step brother Jarred (Brittany Hahn) Carpenter; nieces and nephews Britnee (Matt) Rubalcava, Dylan Miller, and Colton Winters, Jasmine (Keegan Meighan) Miller, Chloe Miller, and Stella Ritter, Dominick, Traten, and Kaelan Nicholson, Christian Odom, Ryleigh Myers, Kyan and Jaelynn Teepe, Gracyn and Kohen Miller, Porter and Maisie Miller, Waylon and William Miller, Aiden and Liam Doty, Josh, Ceagan, Cody, Gavin, and Rylan Carpenter; and great nieces and nephews Braylee and Kourtlen Rubelcava, Chance and Kashton Nicholson, and Nora Meighan.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Wayne and Joan Miller; her maternal grandparents Edward and Marlene Rust; and by her Uncle Danny Miller.
