Ashley Laine Stack passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 26, 2024, at the age of 51. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi on December 11, 1972, at the old Baptist Hospital and grew up in the Woodlea subdivision in Jackson. Ashley began her education at the First Presbyterian Day School and thereafter attended Jackson Preparatory School before deciding that the University of Mississippi was calling her name. After graduating from Ole Miss with a degree in marketing, she accepted a position with Hederman Brothers in Jackson where she worked in sales a number of years before accepting a similar position with Thomson Reuters in Charleston, South Carolina. However, no place could tie Ashley down, and she lived and worked at various sales positions in practically every major city in the Southeast with stops along the way as far west as Colorado and California.
Ashley was a beautiful, intelligent caring soul who touched so many lives in her 51 years. She could light up a room with her infectious laugh and never met a stranger (in fact, it is difficult to find someone who doesn't know Ashley Stack). She loved old movies, good friends, good fellowship and most of all her beloved dogs (Chelsea, Cash and the latest light of her life, Waylon). Ashley also was a very spiritual person who loved God and trusted in him to guide her through this world and now on to the next.
She is survived by her parents Charles Stack and Laine Hardin; her brother, Stephen Stack; her two nieces, Anna and Maggie Stack; her stepfather Bobby Hardin; stepbrothers Houston and Pettey Hardin; stepsister Susan Hardin Rocchini; and her youngest brother, Cameron Stack.
In remembrance of Ashley's love for animals of all kind, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to either the Mississippi Animal Rescue League or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
A celebration of Ashley's life will be held at Northminster Baptist Church on Friday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m. with visitation in the Great Hall immediately preceding the service at 10:00 a.m.
