Last night while scrolling thru the nextdoor app, I came across this post. Right around the corner from where Waylon dreamed of the butterfly, he thought of as Ashley ( so to speak), a woman was capturing these photos of an angel image depicted in the northern lights.

Waylon said he dreamed of a butterfly, and it reminded him of his Aunt Ashley. I still haven't told them, it was precious when he said it he said it reminded of him of Ashley, it was beautiful mom. I was proud of Creed for taking such an interest in learning ASL he was proud too and excited to teach Waylon so they could sign with their Aunt Ashley. I learned so many things about life and so many people are better people because of her. Waylon had that dream Friday night. I'm honestly at a loss for words, but she was so loved and precious to her family. Michael loves her dearly, her nephews, her sister and mother too. You will forever be my favorite.sister in law Ashley and I won't let the boys forget memories of u, and that beautiful smile i can picture now in my mind i pray that never fades away. I will picture you smiling and remember how excited you were to be an aunt. Just when I think things are getting to me, I will picture that beautiful smile. My favorite memory of her was the first time she got close to me. In the kitchen on byron forest, she reached out touched my hand gently for just a quick second. Then she stood right beside me shoulder to shoulder. Sissy just snickered and said "Ashley" Ashley smiling watching Michael build a fire. "What are u doing girlie? " He looked back and asked. She side checked me and giggled, she looked at the wood stove still smiling, then she side checked me once more. Then sissy said, " she likes you or she wouldn't get that close" then she patted my belly "baby" she vocalized. Smiling she gently hooked her arm in mine and tore out in excitement (practically dragging me like COME ON LETS GO!) to her room. She stopped at her bed and patted her mattress, as to sa come in have ya a seat. She pointed at the tv, "sat and watch tv with me" were unspoken words that I heard so loud and clear. As we watched TV she side check me a few times and I'd smile at her or comment on what we was watching. She stole my heart right then and there and it brings me to tears now, just how beautiful and precious she was indeed.
This serves as a reminder to Take time to enjoy every little thing in life take nothing for granted. Don't complain be grateful, for we don't know what tomorrow brings. No one is promised any amount of time in life so make every moment intentional, always love and be graceful. One more thing she's taught me After Waylons dream when I heard of her passing I searched butterflies on my phone, with the intent of finding one to cut out for my car as a tribute to her. In the first ten images was a quote, "when butterflies are here, angels are near." I'll never forget th words of my baby boy, his eyes still half shut, the isn't that so cool tone when he spoke these words, now engraved forever in my heart:
" I had a dream about a butterfly mom!, and it was aunt,...uh..i mean, it reminded me of my Aunt Ashley. .... It was so beautiful mom! it really was."-waylon
He sat up pulled his shirt over his head and said " I know I'm right! But do u believe me?"
It took me a minute to find the words, I was amazed at the sincerity and proud of his intellectually kind heart. But with honesty I assured him that, " I love that Waylon and I love you so much for being you because I think that it's a beautiful thought. Definitely an appropriate analogy for your Aunt Ashley."
At that moment the many reasons that come to my mind giving reason to what I said, never did it cross my mind that the true meaning of his dream would be this. I'm so grateful now he woke up and shared that dream with me so I had to share it with you.
