Rashmi and I have been heart broken and shocked to hear of Ashok´s passing. We just saw him earlier this year ! I knew him from our M.Tech days at IIT, and although we lost touch over the years, I was fortunate to reconnect with him this year when he reached out to us and brought us back to attend our 50th reunion. I am so glad that he did as it was really nice reconnecting after all these years. Ashok was a cheerful spirit, kind and welcoming of everyone! The genuine joy he brought to all of us will be missed. I will always be grateful for the moments we shared and the reminder of lasting friendships and will always remember him with a smile. Our heartfelt condolences to the family.

To the Nangia family, our condolences on the passing of Ashok. He was an excellent engineer and leader in the use of disruptive technologies, as he termed them, to help 3M manufacturing location to improve their processes to reduce manufacturing costs, thus increasing corporate profits. He was recognized for his effort via continuous promotions eventually to Corporate Engineer. But more importantly, he was a great man. Always had a smile on his face, always had a positive attitude, and when we had lunch together, he always talked about how proud he was of his family! Darlys and I miss him.

Myself and Ashok were colleagues in IIT Bombay 50 years ago. Recently he took the lead to get some of us together for the Golden Jubilee celebrations at IIT . We had an excellent time together. We will always miss his smiling face and pleasant manners. He took part in many social causes including mentoring for IIT junior colleagues . It was such a shock to hear of his passing away. May god bless his soul with eternal peace and grant courage to the family to bear this immeasurable loss. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti !!
