Ashton Wade Saunders
January 31, 2003 – October 24, 2025
Ashton Wade Saunders, 22, of Cumberland, Virginia, entered into his forever home with the Lord on October 24, 2025. He was born to Joshua Wade Saunders and the late Shauna Leigh Tuck Saunders.
Ashton had a kind heart and an easy smile that could brighten any room. He cherished moments with his family and friends, especially his brother, Braxton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his boat, listening to music, and playing a round of golf. Always ready to lend a hand, he dreamed of building a future through his own ambition and creativity.
He is survived by his father, Joshua Saunders (Patricia Kingsley); his brother, Braxton Saunders. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Dianne Tuck, and paternal grandparents, Ronald and Cynthia Saunders; his great-grandmother, Janice Jones. Ashton is lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles, Jared (Lindsey) Tuck, Stacey (Dustin) Montgomery, Rachel (Keith) Jennings, and Jordan (Dane) Acton; his cousin, Bradyn Montgomery, and his special friend, Alexia Barton and many many other cousins who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shauna L. Tuck Saunders; uncle, Zachary Saunders; great-grandfather, James Jones; and great-grandparents Paul and Kathryn Lockner, Charles and Lois Sublett, and Walter and Shirley Tuck.
Visitation for friends and family will be Monday, November 3, 6:00–7:30 p.m., at Puckett’s Funeral Home, Farmville. Celebration of Life: Tuesday, November 4, 2:00 p.m., at Midway Baptist Church, 2595 Midway Road, Phenix, Virginia, followed by interment.
