Ashton Michael Yelder

Ashton Micheal Yelder, age 1, went home to our heavenly Father on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. Ashton was born in Toledo, OH on April 29, 2022, to Ashle Nicholson and Justin Yelder.
Born into this life ten-weeks prematurely, Ashton was his family's warrior baby. Even with all he went through in his life's journey, he was still full of personality and love. He brought joy to all who encountered him. He loved his family, and they loved him dearly.
Ashton enjoyed receiving snuggles and kisses from his mom, watching Elmo, and smiling at his favorite sister Ky'lah. One of the highlights of his day was when his dad walked him through the house. He loved his dad from day one and the sound of his voice gave him so much joy from the womb. Ashton also loved his time with his granny watching Elmo and giving his granny his hand.
Ashton fought a good fight. He was the strongest and bravest soul. His strength gave his mom and his family so much strength. Ashton's family will forever miss their warrior baby and the smile that made their hearts melt.
Ashton was preceded in death his paternal grandmother, Linda S. Ingram and maternal grandfather, Miles L. Nicholson.
He is survived his father, Justin Yelder, mother, Ashle Nicholson; Brothers, Kyre, Nekhi, Mekhi, and Ky'on Nicholson, Legend, Justice, Jisan, and Sincere Yelder; Favorite Sister, Ky'lah Nicholson; Grandmother, Charvette Mitcham; Grandfather, Julius (Carolyn) Yelder (Virginia); Special Gammy, Carlene Ingram (Michigan); a host of very special and dearly loved aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends; and special god-sister, Chris'Salia Jennings; and special god-brother, De'Vontai Burt. Ashton will be greatly missed and loved eternally.
