Asuncion Martinez Garcia, age 92 entered into rest on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in San Angelo, TX.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with a prayer service at 6:00 PM. Graveside Service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Ms. Garcia was born on June 1, 1932 in Purisima Coahuila, Mexico to Sostenes Lara and Dario Martinez Arzola. She married the love of her life Lazaro G. Garcia May 15, 1946. Ms. Garcia enjoyed embroidery, sewing, dancing, and cooking. During her youth, she loved riding her horses on her ranch in Palos Blancos. Ms. Garcia spent most of her life as a homemaker helping take care of her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Lazaro Gutierrez Garcia, daughter Andrea Buitron, brothers, sisters and parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Linda Garcia, Maria Garcia, Beatriz Garcia, Blanca Oyervides, Melissa (JR) Soto, Nalda (Joe) Cardenas, Soraida (Sonny) Rocha Miller and Bianca (Gary) Cruz. Sons, Jesus (Viviana) Garcia, Lazaro (Sonya) Garcia, Efrain (Mary) Garcia and David (Maria) Garcia. 33 Grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Albert Garcia, Pablo Rocha, Marco Soto, Enrique Garcia, Gael B. Pineda, Hervey Garcia, Joe Michael Cardenas, Troy Garcia, Danny Garcia, and Edward Trevino.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the kind and loving care that was given to our mother in her final days.
