Asunción (Sam) Rivera
Rochester, NY - March 9, 2026 at age 96. Asunción is predeceased by his wife of 72 years. Asunción is survived by his sons, Antonio (Dawn), Asunción Jr., Nelson, and his daughter Carmen Maria; Grandchildren Justin, Jienna, Shawn, Tanina, Philip, Adam, Ashton, Skylar, Brianna; 12 great grandchildren. He was retired from Rochester Products, GM. He was a practicing Catholic. He was skilled as a carpenter/all around handyman. He had a great sense of humor and loved celebrating life with family and friends. He was a wonderful father and loved having children around. He loved nature and flowers and he will be forever in our hearts.
Memorial service will be at Ascension Chapel in the Resurrection Garden Mausoleum ~ Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. (Dewey Avenue entrance) TBD
