Atha Mae (Tucker) Wigington, 84, went to her heavenly home on August 13, 2025, in Hugo, Oklahoma. She was born on March 23, 1941, the daughter of George W. Tucker and Allie Lee (Goodwin) Tucker. Atha was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Darma Jean Hatfield; brothers, Georger David Tucker and James Edward Tucker.

Atha grew up in Texas and graduated from Cornett High School in 1959. She spent most of her life in Wylie, Texas and worked in accounting for many years. Atha later moved to the Spencerville area to be closer to her daughter and her family.

Atha's interests varied from her love for the Texas Rangers baseball team to the simple pleasure of her reading a good book or putting puzzles together. She also enjoyed traveling all over the US to see new places and trying new foods. Sitting outside attracting and feeding her feathered friends, chickens, cardinals, turkeys and even peacocks at one time, was a hobby she truly enjoyed.

Family and faith were the cornerstones of Atha's life. Her dedication to her family and unwavering faith to the Lord was evident in the way she lived. Throughout the years, she never missed her children's sporting events and loved going to her grandchildren's games. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and laughter, where she cooked for her loved ones, creating not just meals but memories that would be cherished for a lifetime. Atha was also a dedicated member of Spencerville Community Church and truly loved her church family. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her and her memory will be treasured in the hearts of her family.

Atha is survived by her loving family; children, Wayne Wigington and wife, Ana of Tiger Town, TX, Rebecca McCreary and husband, Jeff of Spencerville, and Dale Wigington and wife, Teresa of Wylie, TX; grandchildren, Chad Wigington, Chance Wigington, Matthew Bartow, Jeffrey Bartow, Danielle Anderson, Michelle Wigington and Michael Wigington; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Radford of New Boston, TX; along with a host of other family and church family.
