Atta Lee Dill

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Atta Lee Dill, our beloved matriarch, who departed this life on January 27, 2026, in Easley, South Carolina, just days short of her 95th birthday. Born on January 29, 1931, in Union, Arkansas, Atta led a life defined by love, faith, and an unwavering dedication to her family.

Atta was a long-time member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, where she found community and a sense of belonging. Her faith was her guiding light, and her favorite Bible verse, Luke 12:32, encapsulated her hope and belief: "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." This scripture not only gave her comfort but also guided her interactions with others, as she shared her love and compassion freely with all who knew her.

Professionally, she dedicated many years to serving at Oakmont Nursing Home, where she brought joy and warmth to residents, showcasing her selflessness and dedication to caring for others. Atta's legacy is reflected not only in her work but also in the hearts of those who loved her deeply.

Atta Lee Dill was a beacon of unconditional love, with a personality that was both nurturing and uplifting. She took great pride in her family, always going above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being. Her loving spirit will be profoundly missed by those who were privileged to call her family and friends.

Atta is survived by her daughter, Janet Lee Dill Talley and her husband Mike; her sons, Terry Michael Dill and his wife Gina, and David Christopher Dill and his wife Tammy; her brother, Bobby Eugene Webb; along with 13 cherished grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Ray Dill; her mother, Edna Kathryn Rowden Webb; her father, Amel Henry Webb; her sister, Anna Fay Webb McCall; her brother, Billy James Webb; and her daughter, Kathie Laray Dill Welborn; as well as her son, Billy Ray Dill, Jr. Each of these individuals undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in the eternal embrace of God.

Atta had a deep appreciation for nature and loved walking outdoors, spending time in the beauty that surrounded her. She found peace amongst the trees and serenity in the gentle breeze, allowing her faith to flourish in the quiet rustle of leaves.

Reflecting on her life, Atta Lee Dill will always be remembered for her cherished values of love, kindness, and faithfulness. She leaves behind a legacy that will resonate for generations, and her favorite song, "The Old Rugged Cross," will echo in the hearts of her family as a lasting reminder of the love she shared.

As we gather to honor her remarkable life, the visitation will be held on February 3, 2026, at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, SC, starting at 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, with interment immediately following the funeral services at Mountain View Memorial Park in Travelers Rest, SC, at 3:00 PM. Though she has left this earthly plane, Atta’s spirit will continue to live on in the love and faith she instilled in all of us.
