A memorial service for Atwood Leon Eubanks will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Jeane's Funeral Service. A visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Leon was born April 7, 1946, in Leesville, Louisiana and passed away in his home in Anacoco, Louisiana on October 25, 2025, at the age of 79. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and worked for forty years as a sheet metal contractor. Leon enjoyed being outdoors growing a large garden or spending time on the lake fishing. He was a faithful member of Burkeville Church of Christ, and his family meant the world to him. They were the most important part of his life, and he especially loved rocking the babies. He left them a legacy of love, and they will hold his memory in their hearts. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Atwood Rudolph Eubanks and Zelma Bernice Hagler Eubanks and sister, Linda Faye Eubanks. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Patsy Faye Eubanks of Anacoco; son, Bobby Ray Eubanks of Anacoco; daughter, Shawna Alice Kay and husband Bryan of Vidor, TX; grandchildren, Michael Douglas Kay and wife Desiree and Tyler Austin Kay and wife Sydney; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Graham Kay, Katherine Lane Kay, Sebastian Morgan Jessiah Kay, and one on the way; brothers, Jimmy Eubanks and wife Barbara of Houston, TX and James Eubanks and wife Anna of Leesville; sisters, Shirley Welch and husband James and Shelia Fair and husband Fred all of Leesville; and a host of extended family members and friends.
