Aubree Lyla Carlton, age 7, was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her. Born on February 6, 2018, in Grove, Oklahoma, Aubree’s time with us was heartbreakingly brief, yet filled with joy, laughter, and an unforgettable spirit. She passed away on July 23, 2025, at St. Francis Children’s Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by love.
Aubree was a proud kindergartener at Grove Early Education Center, where her love for learning shone through each day. Her boundless energy, contagious smile, and insatiable curiosity made her a delight to her classmates and teachers alike. She was especially cherished by her teachers, Mrs. Gibson and Mrs. Hampton, who witnessed her bright spirit firsthand. The family is deeply grateful to her principal, Mrs. Cole, whose constant support left a lasting impact on Aubree’s school journey.
Beyond the classroom, Aubree was a devoted sister to Abbygail Carlton, with whom she shared countless adventures and sweet moments. Whether playing at the park or caring for her beloved pets—Charlie the kitty and her playful puppies, Mr. Grinch and Eugene—Aubree found happiness in life’s simplest joys. Her vibrant imagination and affectionate heart touched everyone around her.
She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Ayron and Alisha (Burleson) Carlton; her sister Abbygail, her Aunt Kay Lynn Pedraza and husband Martin; grandparents William Burleson, Bobbi Burleson, Rhonda Carlton, and Terry Mays; Her cousins, Kaitlyn Bratcher, Chandler-Bratcher, and Alexandra Lopez, will always hold dear the joyful memories they created together.
Aubree now joins her great-grandparents, Lona Stotts, Arthur Stotts, Tommy Carlton, and Frank Burleson, in eternal peace—welcomed into their arms with love.
Though her physical presence is gone, the legacy Aubree leaves behind is immeasurable. Her joyful laughter, kind heart, and boundless curiosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Let us honor her memory by cherishing each moment and spreading the same warmth and joy she so effortlessly gave.
Aubree Lyla Carlton will forever be remembered—and forever missed.
