Audie Byars

Mrs. Audie Morris Byars, 96, of Hazel, Ky., died Monday, January 3, 2011 at 6:55 a.m. at Spring Creek health care in Murray, Ky. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, and was born July 11, 1914 in Calloway Co., Kentucky. She is survived by a son, Walter Byars (Carolyn) of Hazel, Ky., eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlos C. Byars, two daughters, Jeanette Badge, and Elizabeth Rowland, two sons, Bobby Gene Byars and Morris C. Byars, three sisters, Lorene Wofford, Mae Norman, Ethel Cobb, one brother Cody Morris, parents, Walter and Sadie Mathis Morris, also two grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Sammy Cunningham will officiate, and burial will be in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
