Audra Ruth Davis, entered this life Wednesday, January 13, 1982; went home to her Lord and Savior Thursday, July 25, 2024
Odessa, Texas. Audra's 42 years of life were marked by love, courage, and an unwavering dedication to her family and profession.
Audra was the beloved daughter of Renee Davis, Randy Davis and Tracy Davis, her devoted bonus mom. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bobbie Ruth Kelly and Max Henderson Fly, as well as her paternal grandparents, Collene Ruth Davis and Bruce Willard Davis. Her legacy of love and nurturing lives on through her two adored children, Connor and Jocelyn, who were the center of her world.
She is survived by her loving brother Aaron and his wife Jolene, her caring half-brother Scott, and her dear half-sister Gena and her husband Cody. Her nieces Elisabeth, Ayla, and Alexandra brought her immense joy. Audra also leaves behind her paternal aunt Debbie and uncle Johnny, cousin Landon, maternal uncle Mark and aunt Gina, and cousins Robin and Gina. Additionally, she is remembered by her maternal uncle Matt, cousins Erika and Maxanne; Aunt Rose and cousins Cody, and Travis. Each family member held a special place in her heart, and she in theirs. Audra also leaves behind a wealth of dear friends and coworkers at Focused Care at Hogan Park in Midland, Tx.
Audra's passion for caregiving was evident early in her life, leading her to pursue a career in nursing. She received her RN degree in 2008, and at the time of her passing, she was diligently working towards her BSN at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and was scheduled to graduate August 16, 2024. Her career in nursing was a testament to her caring nature and her ability to touch the lives of those around her. Before becoming a nurse, she worked for her father at Permian Music Company, where she honed her skills in customer relations.
Professionally, Audra was the Director of Nurses at Focused Care at Hogan Park in Midland, Texas. Her previous roles at Seabury Nursing and Rehabilitation as well as at Medical Center Hospital (MCH) were marked by the same excellence and dedication that defined her career. Audra was known for her bravery in the face of challenges and her unwavering commitment to her patients.
Outside of her professional life, Audra had a zest for adventure. She was an outdoor enthusiast, embracing activities like camping, skydiving, and hiking. Her love for the outdoors was only matched by her love for her family. She was an incredible mother, always ensuring that her children experienced the beauty and excitement of life.
Audra was a person of remarkable strength and love. Her courage was inspiring, and she was never one to shy away from taking risks. She approached life with a sense of boldness and an infectious enthusiasm that uplifted everyone around her.
Friends and family will gather to honor and celebrate Audra's life, 1pm, Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Odessa Bible Church, 3901 Penbrook St. in Odessa, remembering the indelible mark she left on the hearts of all who loved her. Her memory will be cherished forever, and her light will continue to shine through the lives of her children and the countless others she touched. Audra Ruth Davis's story is one of love, courage, and the enduring power of a life devoted to caring for others.
