Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory - Wellington on Oct. 30, 2025.
Audrea Ann Frazer, known fondly to her loved ones as Audie, passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 96. Born in
Wellington, Kansas on December 17, 1928 to Charles E. and Eva N. (Willett) Hill, she remained a lifelong resident of the town. On January 29, 1950, she and E. Howard Frazer were united in marriage in Wellington. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2011. Audie was a supportive, compassionate, and generous woman, whose love for her family, friends and community shone brightly throughout her life. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, always present for her family. Like most grandma's, Audie was proud and devoted to her grandsons, Matthew & Brandon. She was determined to attend Matt's graduation in 2023, when he received his doctorate. She would often show up as the oldest fan at Brandon's rock concerts. She was very proud of her years working at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she worked as a business representative for over 30 years.
A lifelong resident of Wellington, Audie was deeply involved in the community, serving proudly in the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and the Priscilla Circle through the United Methodist Church. Her generous spirit also led her to volunteer her time and energy to the local PTA, the Girl Scouts, and the Crusader Club when her children, Karen & Brian, were younger. An avid golfer, bowler, and member of a local bridge club, Audie loved keeping her mind and body active. Her love for travel led her and her husband, Howard, to explore various parts of the United States and Europe, creating innumerable memories with friends and family.
Audie is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Jones and husband Milton of Wichita; grandson, Matthew Jones of Tempe, Arizona; grandson Brandon Jones of Wichita; brother, Jeff Hill and wife Linda of Wellington; nephew, Jason Hill of Wellington; sister-in-law, Yvonne Hill of Hutchinson; many nieces and nephews; and her bonus grandchildren: Erica, Kristen, and Cara; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eva Hill; husband, Howard Frazer; son, Brian C. Frazer; sister, Mary Tull; sister, Franceta "Frannie" Saunders; brother, Charles "Chuck" Hill; and a niece, Amber Hill.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2025 with her family present to receive guests from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10:30 am at the Wellington Methodist Church, 202 W. Harvey Ave.,
Wellington, Kansas.
