Audrene E Knotwell Yenter , 87 of Chadron, NE died Tuesday, Sept. 30,2025. She was born to late Marion and Katherine Knotwell, March 11, 1938 in Imperial , NE. Audrene(Audi) graduated from Fort Collins, CO in 1956 And received a BA in Nutrition from CSU in Ft. Collins, CO. She married the late Jim Yenter In 1959, living in Ft Collins, Co, then Ft. Morgan, Co, Cortez, Co, Alamosa, Co & Estes Park, Co Audrene was a caregiver at a nursing home in Alamosa, CO, a telephone operator, and A foodservice director of the Alamosa Schools Hot Lunch program. Retiring, Jim & Audi retired and eventually moved to Estes Park, Co. Audrene started painting and making art such as oil painting, scratchboard and being involved with the Art Center Of Estes Park. After Jim had passed, Audi & her daughter moved To Greeley, CO then moved to Chadron, NE in 2020 as to be closer to her son Jim and daughter in law Jennifer.

 Audrene is survived by 2 children: Katherine Sue Yenter of Chadron, NE, James (Jennifer) Yenter of Chadron, NE. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, & 2 great great grandchildren, also Brother Terry Knotwell(Joanie), Brother in law John (Mary ) Yenter, various nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Marion & Katherine Knotwell, brother Larry Knot well, Husband Jim Yenter, son Dan Yenter, & niece KayCee Yenter Julsonnet.

 In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Art Center of Estes Park, Western Wildlife Art Show. Audie’s memorial service is in the planning stages so as soon as we have date & location Will let all know.
