The Mass of Christian Burial for Audrey Breid of Wadena will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father Aaron Kuhn as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Parish Hall in Wadena, with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and prayers at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena, MN.

Audrey, age 96, passed away with family at her side on March 29, 2024, at The Meadows of Wadena, MN, with loving care by her family, staff, and Knute Nelson Hospice.
Audrey Marie Andrie was born at home to Leo and Marie (Goeden) Andrie Sr on July 13, 1927, in Wadena, MN. She attended St. Ann's Catholic Grade School and graduated in 1945 from Wadena High School.
On June 9, 1947, Audrey married Carl Arnold Breid at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena. They made their home and raised their family on Pleasant View Farm south of town where Carl grew up. Throughout their time on the farm, Audrey tended a large garden, enlisting the help of all the kids in harvesting, preparing, and preserving its produce.
Audrey was a talented seamstress and created numerous beautiful quilts for family and friends. She was a member of the Bluegrass Quilters and a homemaker's group. At church, she belonged to a quilting group that made quilts for the missions. She had a strong faith and was a member of Christian Mothers and the Society of Foresters. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and took communion to the homebound. With a caring heart she volunteered for many years as a Pink Lady at Tri-County Hospital.
Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, Carl (1993), parents Leo Sr. and Marie, siblings Phillip Andrie, Phyllis (Harold) Vorderbruggen, Leo (Isabelle) Andrie Jr, Richard (Joyce) Andrie, and Mary (Marvin) Wegscheid.
Deeply loved, Audrey is survived by her children Dianne Gullickson of Moorhead, Sharon Cleveland of Hudson, WI, Ronald (Paula) Breid of Oronoco, Joseph (Mabel) Breid of Seymour, TN, Duane (Charlene) Breid of Lakeville, Douglas (Laura) Breid of Wadena, Sally Herda of Devils Lake, ND, Nancy (Doug) McHenry of Salina, KS, Charles (Julie) Breid of Dilworth, Peggy (Jeffrey) Fast of Maple Grove, 30 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren, siblings John (Lucy) Andrie, and Joannie (Joe) Weller, sister-in-law Ruby Lynk, along with a host of extended family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be her godchildren Kevin Gullickson, Suzanne Leinweber, Cindy Spingler, Geoffrey Breid, Michael Breid, and Melissa Holtberg. Honorary pallbearers will be Audrey's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Audrey's name may be sent to Knute Nelson Hospice or the Wadena Food Shelf.
