The Mass of Christian Burial for John Andrie of Wadena will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena, with Father Donald Andrie and Father Jean-Claude Duncan as celebrants. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena, with prayers at 6:00 and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in
Wadena, MN.

John, age 90, passed away on February 16, 2026, at The Meadows of Wadena, in
Wadena, MN, with gentle care by the staff and Vivie Hospice.
John Alfred Andrie was born to Leo and Marie (Goeden) Andrie on April 18, 1935, in
Wadena, MN. He grew up on a farm south of Wadena and attended St. Ann's Parochial School through eighth grade. He played football and graduated from Wadena High School.
On June 6, 1955, John was united in marriage with Lucille "Lucy" Kuefler at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena. They made their home in southeast Wadena and raised four children. John worked at Equity Creamery until it closed and then became employed with Land O' Lakes in Perham as a maintenance engineer. In retirement, he drove for Professional Agronomy Services. Away from work, John liked woodworking projects and hunting. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and active in Knights of Columbus where he held numerous positions including, 3rd degree Grand Knight and 4th Degree Faithfull Navigator, District Deputy, and Financial Secretary. John was honored to receive the MN State Family of the Year award. He was also a Fort St. Charles Board Member and Bluffton Lions Club member.
Preceding John in death were his parents, Leo and Marie; granddaughter, Julie Andrie; siblings: Audrey Breid, Philip Andrie, Phyllis Vorderbruggen, Leo Andrie, Jr, Mary Wegscheid and Dick Andrie; and parents-in-law, Anton and Cathrine Kuefler.
John is survived by his wife, Lucille; children, Patricia (David) Kraemer of Wadena, Rev. Donald Andrie of Horseshoe Bay TX, James (DuDonne) Andrie of Paynesvile MN and Rita Andrie of Woodbury MN;
10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and sister, Joanne (Joe) Weller; along with extended family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Andrie, Luke Andrie, Eric Schwartz, Patrick Peltier, Lue Andrie-Her, Jared Fercho.
