Audrey Maxine Culpepper

Audrey Maxine Culpepper, 90 of Caledonia, MS passed away Monday December 3, 2007 at Aurora Australis Lodge, Columbus, MS.

Visitation for Mrs. Culpepper will be Thursday December 6, 2007 from 1 – 2 PM at Kolola Springs Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS. Services will follow at 2 PM at the church with Bro. Don Harding officiating and Bro. Grant Mitchell and Bro. Mel Howton assisting. Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Culpepper was born in Fayette, AL on January 29, 1917 to the late William Thomas and Bertha Lee Barns Welch and had lived in Caledonia for the past 52 years moving from Hamilton, MS. She was retired as a seamstress with Hamilton Manufacturing after 26 years of service, a member of Kolola Springs Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS and loved working in her yard especially working with her flowers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Culpepper is preceded in death by her husband James Charlie Culpepper, brothers – John Welch, Mose Welch, Herman Welch, Major Welch, Ronald Welch, Buck Welch, Lonnie Welch and Aaron Welch; sisters – Nora Lee Childers, Vivian Williams, Carrie Welch and Annette Welch.

Mrs. Culpepper is survived by her son Charles Culpepper, Caledonia, MS; daughter – Maxine Frye, Caledonia, MS; grandchildren – James Thomas Culpepper, Audrey Lynn Culpepper, Rickey Frye, Michael Frye, Diane Rain and Shelia Frye; great-grandchildren – Joey Jacobs, Taylor Frye, Casey Frye, Erica Frye, Annalese Frye, Christopher Frye and Daniel Lancinger; great-great-grandchild – Cameron Jacobs and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rickey Frye, Thomas Culpepper, Michael Frye, Christopher Frye, Joey Jacobs and Daniel Lancinger. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Brett Brown, members of Kolola Springs Baptist Church and the administrators and staff of Aurora Australis Lodge.
