Audrey Dickey, age 97, of Amarillo, Texas, was born on August 16, 1928, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 6, 2026.
Audrey was the oldest of five children. She was preceded in death by her parents, F.M. and Gladys Dickey; her brother, Dick Dickey; and her sister, Peggy Downs.
She is survived by her two brothers, Sonny Dickey and Jerry Dickey.
Audrey dedicated 34 years of service to Bell Telephone Company. After retiring, she embraced her love of travel, purchasing a motor home and teaching herself how to service and maintain it.
Audrey had a deep love for stray animals. She opened her heart and home, feeding them, caring for them, and doing her best to find them loving homes.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Landmark of Amarillo for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Audrey.
A graveside service will be held at Llano Cemetery on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
