Audrey M. Gaines - A Life of Love, Faith and Family.
Known for her gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to those she loved, Audrey M. Gaines leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and grace that will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends.
Audrey M. Gaines, 87, passed away peacefully on Aug. 11, 2025. Born Aug. 2, 1938, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gilbert E. "Gene" Gaines Sr.; her daughter, Sara Gaines; and her granddaughter, Jamie Vest, with whom she shared a special mother-daughter bond.
Audrey is survived by children, Linda Cox (stepdaughter), Gilbert Gaines Jr., Michael Gaines, Christopher Gaines, David Gaines and Teresa Chau (stepdaughter); sisters, Kathy Hoth and Lenora Johnston; 30 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
A woman of faith and grace, Audrey's warmth touched all who knew her. A memorial service will be held to honor her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or to the funeral home for arrangements.
Shannon Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
