Audrey Richmond Holcomb, age 89 of Vivian, Louisiana, was born on April 27, 1933 in Oakdale, Louisiana to Eli and Beulah Richmond. Audrey passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at her residence after a brief illness. She lived in Vivian for 65 years and was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Vivian. She is currently a member of Narrow Gate Cowboy Ministry also in Vivian.
Audrey loved crafting, traveling, camping, crocheting, ceramics, wood working and playing Mexican train. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, sisters, brothers and her church family.
Audrey is preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Ellis E. Holcomb; four siblings, Ralph Richmond, Eva Mae Hayden, Shirley McCullough and Charles Richmond; daughter-in-law, Lee Ann Holcomb and son-in-law, Raymond Thibodeaux.
Those left to cherish her memories are her four children, Ellis H. and Cindy Holcomb of Marshall, TX, Danny and Debra Holcomb of Magnolia, AR, Wayne Holcomb of Atlanta, TX and Gwen Thibodeaux of Vivian, LA; grandchildren, Melisa and Pierce Castle of Marshall, TX, Gayle and Donald Suiter of Stamps, AR, Eric Holcomb of Marshall, TX; Amy and Brad Stiles of Magnolia, AR; David and Sarah Holcomb of Shreveport, LA, Ashley Holcomb of Magnolia, AR and Joshua and Kourtney Holcomb of Atlanta, TX. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Marguerite Loyd, Martha Mollette, Norma Sue Jeansonne, Lana Faye Paul and Harold Richmond; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Honoring Audrey as pallbearers will be David Holcomb, Joshua Holcomb, Eric Holcomb, Pierce Castle, Collin Castle and Connor Castle.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the entire staff of Amedisys Hospice Care, especially Courtney Mooney and Amanda for the great care they gave to our mother.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m.on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA with Rev. Eric Cunningham, pastor of Narrow Gate Cowboy Ministry officiating. Interment will follow at the Vivian Cemetery, Vivian, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home
