Audrey L. Jones

Audrey L. Jones, age 98, passed away on January 5, 2026 in Berlin, Maryland. Born in Pittsville, Maryland on July 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. Cooper and Lula K. Cooper.
Throughout her life, Audrey was a devoted mother to Linda and grandmother to Kelly, and they shared a strong and special bond. She had a deep love for the simple things in life, including her home, flowers, working in her yard, cooking and baking, and sharing those treats with others. She always went out of her way to help family and friends. She established and maintained Audrey's Beauty Shop, which she operated out of her home for over 50 years. She had a loyal clientele and would also visit local nursing homes, to not only cut the hair of residents, but also to share stories and foster a sense of connection. Audrey and her beloved husband of 53 years, Randall Jones, maintained a strong partnership and supported each other through life's ups and downs. Audrey overcame many difficult circumstances in life and was a woman of deep conviction and faith, who was determined, dedicated, kind, and loving.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Randall Jones; her daughter Linda J. Shockley; her sisters – Mada Cooper Gravenor and Lana Cooper Davis; and her brothers – Medford H. Cooper, Garmen Cooper, and Robert Wilkins.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Kelly Shockley, son-in-law, Carroll Shockley and niece, Mary Davis.
A funeral service will be held at The Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin, MD on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 2pm with a one-hour visitation prior to the service, from 1-2pm. Following this, a graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made in her honor to Friendship Church of Berlin, www.friendshipchurchofberlin.org.
