Audrey L. Ochocki, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire, WI.
Audrey was born on May 12, 1931, in Detroit, MI to Otto and Clara (Vetterkind) Klaar. On August 11, 1962, Audrey married the love of her life Anthony “Pete” Ochocki in East Detroit, MI. She worked as a secretary alongside her husband at the Carpenters Labor Union both in Michigan and Washington DC. Audrey loved all of God’s creation and being a part of a beautiful earth. Audrey also enjoyed talking to people about the bible and would write letters encouraging them to hang in there and believe in the paradise to come.
Audrey is survived by her step children: Karen Brown and Donna Knapp; five grandchildren including: Jim Krause, John Krause and Kim Hudecek; several step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Pete Ochocki; parents: Otto and Clara Klaar; sisters: Inez Taylor, Judy Turner, Elva Metcalf and infant sister, Zelda Klaar.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, WI. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 20232 80th St. in Bloomer, WI. Pictures will be displayed 45 minutes before the service. A private burial will be held at Island Lake Cemetery at a later date.
