Obituary of Myron Stanley Ochocki
Myron Stanley Ochocki, 75, of Stillwater, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2025, with his family by his side after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on January 13th, 1950, in Hendricks, Minnesota, Myron grew up with a strong sense of family and faith. He graduated from Hendricks High School in 1968 before serving in the United States Armed Forces. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota in 1974. Myron began his professional career at Land O'Lakes as an internal auditor in the accounting division, later continuing as an accountant at BAE Systems, where he retired in 2014. His career spanned decades, marked by dedication, integrity, and a commitment to his work.
A devoted Catholic, Myron found great spiritual fulfillment in his faith. He especially cherished his yearly retreats for over 40 years at Demontreville Retreat Center in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, which provided him with peace and reflection.
Myron was known for his kindness, humor, and deep love for his family. He enjoyed gathering with loved ones for backyard barbecues and holiday celebrations and took great joy in watching his granddaughter play sports. An outdoor enthusiast at heart, he found happiness at the family farm, by the lake, riding his motorcycle/e-bike, or simply sitting outside enjoying his surroundings with a glass of lemonade. Myron thoroughly enjoyed browsing online auctions and eagerly anticipated sharing with his family the fun and unique items he had discovered.
He is survived by his son Josh Glood (Kris) of Blaine, Minnesota; granddaughter Anna; brothers Richard Beever (Sharon) of Palo Cedro, California; Allen Ochocki (Judy) of Hastings, Minnesota; and William Ochocki (Pamela) of Hendricks, Minnesota; Ellen Glood of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Jodi Ochocki of Prairie Farm, Wisconsin; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley Simon Ochocki and Victoria Martha (Otto) Ochocki and his sister Karen Schuette.
Myron will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his loyalty to his family, and his strong faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and perseverance. May Myron's memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be planned for later in the year.
