Audrey was born in Dayton, Washington to Clara (May) and Ralph Leroy Switzer on January 18, 1928. She was three months old when her father passed away.

Audrey married the love of her life, Harold Perkins, on May 29, 1959. Together they had a great time in all they did. They especially enjoyed their weekend home at Warden Lake, Washington where they fished nearly every day and entertained family and friends.

Audrey started her career at Hanford Nuclear Reservation in 1957. She held several positions during her employment, but primarily as an Administrative Clerk in the 300 area. She retired in 2002 at the age of 74. She also enjoyed her three years as president of the Kennewick Ladies Elk Emblem Club. Once she retired from Hanford she volunteered as the travel coordinator with the Tri-Cities, Rambling Rovers Senior Travel Club. She arranged all the stops for sight-seeing, eating and lodging for 70+ travelers on two motor coaches for various trips around the United States. The last trip she organized was in 2019 to Washington DC. At that time, she was 91 years old.

Audrey passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her mother and father, her brothers, Raymond Switzer and Marvin Klundt, and her sisters, Barbara Wardrip and Betty Kennedy. She is survived by many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Her spunky energy and zest for life will be greatly missed.

A grave side service will be held at the Dayton, Washington cemetery on Wednesday, July 30th at 1:00.
