Audrey Rowley, 94, of Austin, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on June 30, 2022.
Audrey Rowley, 94, of Austin, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on June 30, 2022. She was born on January 23, 1928, in Madison, Wisconsin, the 2nd of three children born to William and Lorraine Pratt. She graduated from Adams-Friendship high school in Wisconsin in 1945. She married Gene "Bo" Rowley in Austin on May 3, 1952; they remained married for 53 years. Audrey worked for the State of Texas in a clerical capacity, both at the Texas Insurance Checking Office and the Department of Public Safety, until she retired. In between these two stints of employment with the State, Audrey raised her two sons, Randy and Mark Rowley.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn O'Neal of Lakeway, and her sons, Randy Rowley of Austin, and Mark Rowley of Flower Mound, Texas. In addition, she was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren: Ryan, Deanna, Andrew, Mitchell, Nicholas, Eric Rowley and Robin Painter; great grand-children, Hunter, Liam, Rhett, Tate, and Heath Rowley, and Gabriel, Ella, and Chloe Painter.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lorraine Pratt; brother, James Pratt, and her husband, Gene.
Along with her husband, Audrey was a faithful member of the Great Hills Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for many years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Great Hills Baptist Church located at 10500 Jollyville Road in Austin, Texas.
