Audrey M. Roy, 92, of Foster City passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center - Dickinson in Iron Mountain.
Audrey was born October 29, 1932, in Red River, WI, daughter of the late Mose and Elsie (Flavion) Fayas. After graduating from Felch High School she worked in a sewing factory. Audrey then got her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center for over 12 years as a nurse and in housekeeping. She married David Roy on September 9, 2002, in Georgia; he passed away in 2014. A lifelong resident of the area, Audrey worked at the Hardwood Community Hall and loved hunting, fishing, sewing, and traveling. She was a member of the Mission Covenant Church.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Rose Fayas and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, and husband, David, Audrey was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Peterson in 1999; 3 sisters, Blanche (Emil) Johnson, Gladys (Herbert) Johnson and Pearl (Rasmus) Johnson; 3 brothers, Eldred (Lorraine) Fayas, Mark (Marjorie) Fayas, and Ronald Fayas.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 19th at the Mission Covenant Church in Foster City with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm at the church. Pastor Daniel Knepper and Pastor Joe Basso will officiate. Burial will be in the Foster City Cemetery.
