Audrey Ellen Tolle

Audrey Ellen (Dennistoun) Tolle left this world on Wed Aug 27, 2025 at the age of 97. She is survived by her children; Steven (Donnis), Kenneth (Kathy), Roger, Larry (Juli), Cindy (Leif) and Jeffrey (Sonda), and her grandchildren, Josh, Jessie (Eric), Dawn, Shawn (Christi), Justin (Ashley), Lucas, Tony (Andrea), Mitchell (Mindy) and Curtis (Jennifer) along with 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Mavis and Joan as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and great friends! She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mabel, brothers James and Bill, granddaughters Michelle and Tiffany, grandson Dustin and daughter-in-law Tinker. Audrey was born in Mitchell SD on Dec. 16th, 1927, to James and Mabel Dennistoun. She was the oldest of five children. Audrey married Norval Tolle when she was 18. They were married for 23 years and had six children. They mostly resided in Redwood Falls, MN while Norval was in the ministry and then Mankato MN. In 1970 Audrey moved to Hopkins MN where she worked as an administrator for Red Owl, Honeywell/Alliant Tech and lastly Methodist Hospital. After her retirement she went on to get her GED at the age of 87! Audrey loved her family. She spent a lot of time with her children and grandchildren, along with her siblings, their families and many friends. Audrey was a classy lady with a sense of humor and a devious side. Those who knew her would attest to that! She lived by herself until the age of 96 when she moved into Cornerstone Assisted Living. During this time, she developed pancreatic stones and had to have them removed. She was the oldest ERCP patient at the University of Minnesota and the procedure was a success. In the last few months, she developed severe aortic stenosis as her heart was showing its age. She, however, tried really hard to make it to 100. Please join us for a celebration of her life on Saturday, September 13th at 11:00am at the Eden Prairie Washburn-McReavy. Visitation 1 hour prior and lunch after. Private interment at Peace (Crestlawn) Memorial Gardens in Redwood Falls will be held at a later date. Memorials preferred to the Minnesota PKU Foundation www.mnpku.org
