Audrey E. Weihert, 91 of Waterloo, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2023, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.
Audrey was born September 1, 1931, in the Town of Deerfield, WI, the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Billig) Schultz. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She married the love of her life James Weihert on June 6, 1948, in the town of Deerfield. Audrey was a homemaker in her early years of marriage, then morning manager at the BP station in Waterloo for many years. She loved baking! She made the wedding cakes for all of her children, birthday cakes and cookies all the time. She loved her family most of all and loved the time spent with them.
Audrey is survived by: her children Tom (Debra) Weihert of Tomahawk, WI, Will (Fran) Weihert of Tomahawk, WI, Bev Weihert of Watertown, WI and Deb (Brent) Bergholz of Waterloo, WI; six grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren (number ten the way); and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Audrey is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, relative and other friends.
Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, husband James, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo in Audrey's honor would be appreciated by the family.
A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2023, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran of Waterloo with Rev. James Adomeit presiding. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the church. Audrey will be laid to rest at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland following the service.
