August Luigi Conti, a cherished son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 22, 2026, in Old Bridge, NJ, after a brief illness. Born on February 3, 1974, in Staten Island, NY, he was a beacon of joy to all who knew him throughout his 51 years of life.
August grew up in Staten Island, where he formed enduring friendships and discovered his diverse passions. He moved to Old Bridge, NJ in 2012 where he has resided since. A proud member of Teamsters Local 282 for 24 years, August was respected for his dedication and work ethic, and he forged lifelong friendships with his union family.
Possessing a creative soul, August found solace and expression through various artistic avenues. His passion for Legos was not merely a hobby but a testament to his intricate mind and attention to detail. Building, buying, selling, and trading Legos provided joy not only to him but also to those around him, as they marveled at his creations. Likewise, August's love for history and politics was evident in his ability as a skillful debater-a trait that stimulated thought-provoking conversations and revealed his intelligence and wit.
August's musical talent shone brightly when he played the drums. Contributing to the rhythm and heartbeat of local bands, he was not only a gifted musician but a charismatic performer. His love of music was infectious, just like his artistry extended to the canvas as a talented painter. His sense of humor was unparalleled, encouraging laughter and joy in every encounter.
Above all, August's role as a father was paramount. His love for his son, August Vincent Conti, was immeasurable, and he instilled in him values of kindness, humor, and creativity. His adoration extended to his loving parents, Vincent and Joanne Conti, his devoted brother, Vincent Conti IV, and a host of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved nephew, Vincent A. Conti, and his dog, Sookie.
August's life, marked by an unwavering commitment to family, a zest for creativity, and a legacy of friendship, will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all.
