August "Gus" Martinucci II
Age 69 years, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at his home.
Born in Joliet and a life-long resident. Gus was employed by the Will County State's Attorney Office with the Informational Technology Dept.
Preceded in death by his mother, Livia (nee Lezzani) Martinucci (2000); his brother, Paul Martinucci (2020).
Survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Patricia "Pat" (nee D'Andrea) Martinucci; his father, Dr. August Martinucci and his sister-in-law, Nancy (late, Paul) Martinucci.
Gus will be remembered as a kind, generous and loving family member and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Per Gus's wishes, cremation rites will be respectfully accorded. Inurnment will take place at Resurrection Mausoleum at a later date.
Although Gus was not being cared for by Hospice, his wishes would be to suggest memorials in his name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, Illinois 60431

I just found out about Gus from my former colleague at Laser pro company. I got to know gus through email while working there and met him in person a couple times when fixing printers in his department at will county. I am heart broken to hear about his passing. He was such a sweet guy.

I'm so sorry for your loss....
my wife and i were out of the country when this happened and just by happenstance were looking something up about the age of Gus's dad and saw the obituary.
to say were shocked is a huge understatement.
gus was the best man in my wedding and a friend since 5th grade.
i loved him like a brother .
i am so sorry for your incredible loss .
the world has lost a truly great man and a wonderful friend .
i am so sorry i was not able to properly pay my respects to patty , 'doc" and the rest of the family.
