Augustus E. Bouldry

Augustus E. "Gus" Bouldry, 92, died peacefully at home while in the comfort of his family on Feb 20th. Gus was the loving son of the late Augustus and Dorothy (French) Bouldry and grew up in East Bridgewater. Gus was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School, Class of 1947 and would earn his associates degree from Wentworth Institute.
He met the love of his life, Edna, while on a train heading into the city. Gus joined the Airforce and married Edna on September 12th 1951. He was a Korean War veteran who served as an airplane mechanic. After Gus served his country he and Edna settled in Bridgewater where they raised their four daughters.
Gus was a hard worker who spent close to 25 years with Delta Airlines. He was an exceptional carpenter and wood craftsman who generously gifted his fine crafts to others. Gus was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing that passion with his family and friends.
He was a kind, caring, and honest man who always gave his most to his family, church, and friends. He proudly supported the Patriots and his beloved Red Sox. Gus's quiet and reserved manner will be missed by all who knew him.
Gus was loving husband of 70 years to Edna M. Bouldry of Bridgewater. Devoted father of Marilyn D. Warman and her husband Edward of East Bridgewater, Pamela L. Mello and her husband Frank of Kentucky, Susan M. Canavan and her husband Paul of Kingston, and Elizabeth A. Laham and her husband Fred of Bridgewater. Proud Grandpa of 10 Grandchildren: Lauren, Christopher, Samuel, Joseph, Allen, Krystie, Stephanie, Evan, Michael, and Joshua, plus 14 Great Grandchildren.
All are cordially invited to the Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater on Thursday Feb. 24th from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 am at Good Shepherd Reformed Episcopal Church, 6 Meadowhill Court, South Easton followed by a burial, with military honors, at Jennings Hill Cemetery, Bridgewater.
