AURORA PAGSOLINGAN ANASCO
DECEMBER 6, 1945 - DECEMBER 29, 2024
Aurora Pagsolingan Añasco, a retired schoolteacher, a loving and devoted mother, passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 79. She is survived by her two sons, Archer and wife, Michelle, and Aaron and wife, Megan; her grandchildren, Giada, Pauline and Analise; her two brothers and a sister. Her parents had earlier joined our Creator together along with her two brothers, and another sibling who died at infancy. Auring, as she was frequently called, was born in Rizal Avenue, San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Philippines on December 6, 1945. She was the third of seven children to parents Gregorio Pagsolingan, a retired Army personnel who was deeply engaged in agriculture, leaving behind a mango orchard, and Emerenciana Cardinoza, a loving housewife. She finished her elementary education at Central I and SEPNAS, respectively. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education at Dagupan Colleges (now known as University of Pangasinan in Dagupan City, Pangasinan). She taught in the Philippines for about five years, assigned to remote barrios, traveling on dusty and muddy roads due to seasonal and climate changes.
Auring was a very beautiful lady, who with her charm and wit, attracted many suitors who battled to win her heart. It was the lucky gentleman, Adolfo Añasco, likewise handsome and intelligent, who won out. Auring became Mrs. Aurora Pagsolingan Añasco on September 12, 1970. Being married to a US military personnel early on in the marriage, Auring had to endure and overcome the separation of Adolfo's overseas assignment. Auring finally arrived in the US and joined her husband Adolfo in the summer of 1971, settled into her marriage and had her two sons, Archer and Aaron. Auring furthered her studies by earning a Master' s Degree in Education and successfully obtained her education license. She continued her teaching career while her children grew up and later retired in 2008.
Auring is fondly remembered for her bubbly personality and as a jolly conversationalist with never a dull moment around her. She loved to sing, with her favorite piece as Paper Roses. She was very animated and liked storytelling with action, laughter and humor. She was known as a smart dresser and was the life of the party in any gathering. She had a very generous heart, was charitable, kind and God-fearing. Auring and Adolfo raised their two sons to be very respectful, well-mannered, smart, educated, humble, and kind-hearted. We dearly feel the loss of Auring - she will be missed. We have many fond memories as she touched the lives of many people. Somehow, she made us happy and put a smile on our hearts. Thank you Auring, be at peace in the comfort of our Dear Lord.
