Aurora A. Martinez

Aurora A. Martinez, 95, of Beeville, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Aurora was born in Beeville, Texas, on March 31, 1930, to Andres and Celia B. Alvarado. In 1947, she married Jesus Martinez and together they had two children. Aurora was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Aurora was preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Celia B. Alvarado; her husband, Jesus Martinez; her siblings, Teodoro Longoria, Guadalupe Valdez, Gilbert Alvarado, Andres Alvarado Jr., and Juanita Rodriguez; and her son-in-law, Jesus Martinez Jr.

Aurora is survived by her children, Anna Martinez Chapa (Fernando) and Press Martinez (Anita), and her grandchildren, Mario Chapa (Elizabeth), Clarissa Chapa, Sonia Martinez and Marcus Martinez (Amy). Aurora is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Monday, March 9, 2026. A Visitation will be held from 9:00am - 10:30am with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:30. The Funeral Mass will be held by Father Estepa at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery

The family would like to specially thank Rosario Aguilar, Maria Sanchez, Carla Medina Riojas, and Simona Garcia of Legacy Home Health Agency for helping take care of Aurora.

Pallbearers will be Mario Chapa, Marcus Martinez, Israel Martinez, Saragoza Martinez, Pete Martinez, and Luis Espinoza.
