Austin Timothy Clemensen was born on September 16, 2002, in Morris, Minnesota to Tawsha Waddell and Brent Clemensen. Austin was raised in Morris where he graduated from Morris Area High School with the class of 2021. In January of 2025, Austin began his schooling at Moorhead State University, pursuing a degree in Visual Arts.

Austin spent much time working with his grandpa, Brent. They worked on odds and ends, and enjoyed going on ‘part runs’ to the local grocery store or gas station to get a treat or two – ones that grandma Lenora never had at the house! He loved spending time with his friends, playing basketball in the summers at Wells Park, no matter the temperature, going to movies – and always bringing Mom home his leftover popcorn – playing video games, and celebrating with them at their annual Christmas parties.

Austin died on Friday, February 14, 2025, in Moorhead, Minnesota, he was 22 years old.

Austin is survived by his mother, Tawsha (Rick) Brustuen of Morris; his father, Brent (Teshia) Clemensen of Ashby; siblings: Taylor Clemensen of Moorhead, Kennedy Brustuen of Morris, Evan Clemensen, Clayton Clemensen, and Oaklie Clemensen, all of Ashby; grandparents: Brent and Lenora Waddell of Morris, Rick Brustuen of Cyrus, Deb Brustuen of Cyrus, and Mary Dronen of Fergus Falls; aunts and uncles: Randee and Patrick Dow, Jenny and Brady Griffith, Jaime Mundal, Shayla Kleindl, Denise Bursch, and Dawn Clemensen; and numerous cousins, extended family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his great-grandma, Erma Wells.
