Austin Vincent Labbe, 22, of Akron, went to Heaven alongside his brother, Trent Sanchez on August 17, 2025. Known as "Mini Me" to his family, he was born on September 15, 2002 in Akron to Vincent Labbe and Tanya {Chisnell} Labbe. He grew up in Tallmadge, Ohio and graduated from Manchester High School in 2021. While in school, he worked at Danbury Nursing Home, where his kindness made him a favorite among both staff and residents. Following graduation, he started his career as a machinist at Pioneer Tool and Die Co. He loved his job and co-workers and was grateful for the opportunity to work there.
Austin loved spending time with his family. Every Sunday included a special outing with his family. He was happiest when outdoors, whether he was camping, fishing, skateboarding, playing football or ice skating. He had a knack for fixing cars and was also an enthusiastic piano player. Recently, he was looking into joining an adult hockey league and enjoyed summer days riding his motorcycle. He was always recognized by his red hair, green eyes, and amazing smile.
Austin was so protective of his family and friends. If his mom or sister met a potential boyfriend, they had to be vetted by Austin first. He was a wonderful person with a beautiful heart and although his life was cut short too soon, he will be carried in our hearts forever.
Austin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sharon Chisnell; Pap Pap, James Black; great-grandmothers, Lucile Black and Edna Compton; uncle, Bob Hareford; and cousin, Bobby Hareford.
He will be dearly missed by his fiancee, Aubrey Davis; mother, Tanya Labbe; father, Vincent Labbe; siblings, Angelina Labbe and Titus Sanchez; grandfather, Leo Labbe; grandmother, Sandra Walters; grandfather, Barry Chisnell; great-grandmother, Florence Black; nephew, Killian Labbe; many step-siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 10 am - 12 noon, immediately followed by a 12 noon memorial service at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305.
