Austin Trey “Mojo” Mason, age 32, of Gray, KY, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the University of Louisville Hospital.
Born in Corbin, KY, he was the son of William Mason and Tonya Jones. Austin worked as a CNC Router Operator for Northern Contours, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
Austin had a close-knit group of friends, and together they simply enjoyed life. From playing Dungeons & Dragons, to Friday night poker games, to countless hours on PlayStation, those shared moments meant everything to him. He was an all-around great guy — a loyal friend, a devoted brother, and a loving son. His easygoing nature, sense of humor, and genuine heart made him someone people were drawn to and deeply cared for.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude Mason, Jr., and Shirley Faye Hood; stepfather, Richard Jones; cousins, Billy Ryan Cain and Gregory Engle; and uncle, Ronnie Foster.
Austin is survived by his mother, Tonya Jones; father, William Mason; sister, Kayla Knuckles (Darick); brothers, Andrew Jones (Amber) and Joshua Mason (Angel); nieces and nephews, Reagan Knuckles, Dawson Knuckles, Carter Knuckles, Mallory Knuckles, Lucas Mason, Ronan Dunlap, and Ava Smallwood; grandmother, Barbara Mason; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
