AUSTIN STOREY PLUNKETT
Born: 27 April 1951
Died: 5 January 2025
Austin was born in Fort Worth, Texas to N. R. and Pauline Plunkett. He attended Richland Elementary, Junior High and High Schools. He was captain of the Richland Rifles and even competed in the US Nationals at Camp Perry, Ohio. After high school, Austin joined the military becoming a Petty Officer in the SEABEES. He was medically retired in 1973. He was married to Deborah Puckett and had two children, Christopher and Chadwick becoming a sole parent. He later married and divorced Sharon Trussell. His passions were his sons and riding his Harley Davidson with his brother and friends. He is survived by his son, Christopher and wife, Destiny Plunkett; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister, two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
To honor Austin, a graveside service will be held at 1:15 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211. Attendees; please join us at the cemetery at 1:00 PM in lane 2 to the right of the information building.
