Austin Clay Rice Hunter, 33, of Columbus, born June 11, 1991 to Robyn D. Rice and Late Charles “Chuck” J. Hunter, who passed on November 17, 2023.
Along with his mother, Robyn and his dear cat, Obi; Austin is survived by sister, Danielle Rice of Columbus; brother, Rick (Lora) Andrix of Johnstown; aunts, Tina (David) Geer and Beth (Leroy) Rizor; uncles, Jamie Rice, Patrick (Richelle) Dodd, Jason Yost; cousins, Adrienne, Corey, Shelby, Alyxandria, Corey, DJ, Zachary, and Bradyn; nieces and nephews, Mckenzie, Nash, Akiah,Tajah; extended family, and closest friends, Will, Adam, Christian, Max, Dane and Hannah, Corey, Brennen, Chuck, Ryan, Amanda, Michael, Gio, Eric, Josh, Kristian and E.J and many more dear friends, including, Rowen his partner in crime, and Wrenley his nemesis.
Along with his father, Chuck; Austin is preceded in death by is maternal grandparents, Bobbi Brooks and Jim Dodd; and paternal grandparents, Margie “Grammy” Kemp and Ray Hunter; his loving Nana; step father, Donnie Pinnix; and cousin, Lee Michael Rizor.
Austin graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 2010. Austin was a free spirit. He wished most in life to travel, do the things he loved, and spend time with those he loved most. He was a member of the Gator Tails Bowling Team for two seasons with teammates Dane, Collin, and Jake. He was also up for adventure. Going to Drag Racing with his Mom and Donnie. He had a great love for music, including Angels & Airwaves, Blink-182, Elton John, older country, and many other beloved artists. He loved to attend the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival each year, with friends for his birthday. Austin enjoyed the movies, making it a monthly routine with friends.
Immediate family will greet friends and family from 3 to 7pm, Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus 43231. A service to honor Austin’s life will be held at 12 Noon, Sunday, April 6, 2025 also at the funeral home.
