Austin White, 28, born on August 22, 1997, departed this life on February 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love. A graduate of Oldham County High School, class of 2015, Austin was known for his infectious smile and his ability to bring joy to everyone around him. His personality was characterized by a sense of humor, loyalty, and a protective nature that endeared him to friends and family alike.
Austin was an avid fan of the Florida Gators, and his passion for sports extended to playing golf with his beloved Pops. He cherished the time spent discussing sports and engaging in activities that brought family and friends together. His interests included fishing, visiting parks and nature preserves, and relishing moments at the pool and beach. Music was another source of joy for Austin, as he enjoyed listening to his favorite tunes while spending quality time with his siblings and family.
He is survived by his loving mother and father, Amy and Cory Brister; siblings, Devin Brooke Hartung (Austin), Landon Brister, and Levi Brister; grandparents, Mike and Annie Baum, Janice and Donald Yankey; great-grandma, Faye Yankey and aunts and uncles, Stacy Baum, Mike Baum (Kelly), and Tammy Eickholtz (Bobby). Austin's memory will also live on through his cousins, Olivia, Trenton, Lainey, Leah, Madison, Ethan, and Elliot.
Austin was preceded in death by many great aunts and uncles who loved him dearly. As we remember Austin, we hold close the memories of his vibrant spirit, the joy he brought to our lives, and the bonds that will forever connect us through his legacy of love.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) after services visitation will continue until 6:00 pm.
