It is with deep sorrow and heartbreak that the family of Austin Martin Woods announces his passing on August 15, 2025, at the age of 26, following a short illness. His family surrounded his bedside when God chose to call him to Home. He was born on June 29, 1999, in Moses Lake, WA, where he lived until his family moved to Ellensburg, WA, in 2003. He attended Ellensburg schools and graduated from Thorpe High School in 2018. While in Ellensburg, he made life-long friendships and unconditional bonds with so many. They encouraged him to be his best self and inspired him to always go after what his heart felt. Austin and his mom, Lynn, had a strong, unbreakable bond. They shared a deep, enduring connection with a strong emotional foundation. Austing always told her 'it's us against the world' and that is how they were with each other – protecting, guiding, supporting, and navigating through life by simply being there for each other 24/7. Three years ago, he met the love of his life and soulmate, Sam. They've been together ever since and were to spend the rest of their lives together. They recently moved to Stanwood, WA where they lived happily with their 4 cat children, Bandit, Dalhia, Shieko-me, and Izzy. Izzy was his Grandma Green's cat, and when she passed away in 2020, Austin did not hesitate in taking Izzy as his own. Lynn and Sam's best friend is now in Heaven and their hearts are broken into a million pieces. They will somehow find the strength to put one foot in front of the other as they know Austin will be beside them and surrounding them with his love for the rest of their lives. Austin was the funny one of the family with his quick-wit and amusing antics. He created the light in our eyes. He created the laughter in our souls. He created the best memories for his family and friends. He created a beautiful effect on everyone who was around him. He was fun-loving with the biggest smile. He was very good at lifting a person up when they were down. He had a huge heart and thought about everyone else before himself. His absence leaves grief and sorrow in our souls, but his memories will help us heal, and he will live on forever in our hearts. He will forever be missed and forever be loved. Until we meet again… He is survived by his Mom, Lynn Brown; his boyfriend and love of his life, Sam Hoyte; his sister and brother-in-law, Samantha and Sam White, his nephews and niece, Carter White, Serianna White, Graham White, and Theodore White; his Aunts and Uncles, Cheryl and Mitch Rasberry; Brenda Green, Donna Woods, Stuart and Sheena Woods; his cousins, Savannah Rasberry; McKinna Woods, and Kira Woods; Grandmother, Lynda Carstensen. He was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Babe and Vernajean Green, and his grandfather, Don Carstensen.

I miss you and wish we all had one more day with you. When you were little, you couldn´t say my name correctly. You called me `Auntie Cherdal´. Then you grew up and turned into an intelligent young man. I loved listening to you talk because you talked so intellectual. Your life had just begun...
Our family will never be whole again. We will learn to navigate life without you, but it won´t be easy. We will hold your memories and love close to our hearts always-every single minute of every single day of every single year. I love you so much Austin Martin Woods.

I miss you beyond words....I will always carry you deep in my heart and soul. You were my light at the end of the tunnel; you were my whole reason to keep my head above the water. You gave me the strength and courage to carry on when I was at my worst; you were my partner-in-crime at any given time. I miss your goofy ideas, miss your awesome laughter and personality. Until we meet again I will keep you alive in my memories
